Learning Guitar - Classical Guitar
Classical guitar
The guitar belongs to the strumming family. It has six strings of different thickness, which we play with our fingers - we strum. Today everyone knows it and it is considered a popular musical instrument, but in the past it was more in the background.
The classical guitar as we know it today has several predecessors. From the simplest strums, more complex musical instruments, similar to today's guitar, developed, among them, for example, the medieval vihuela and the older lute, which are considered to be the predecessors of today's classical guitar. Around 1850, a Spanish maker recreated the guitar as it was known until then, slightly changing its shape and perfecting the construction, and the version of today's modern guitar was created. It is made mostly of wood, which must be of the highest quality possible, as it forms the body of the guitar, followed by the neck with a pickguard and the headstock, on which the strings are attached, which are plastic in the case of a classical guitar.
The classical guitar program is intended for anyone who is interested in the guitar and wants to learn the basics and how to play this instrument correctly. In classical guitar lessons, we learn posture, correct fingering and develop musical ear. The program includes holistic learning, students perform technical exercises and compositions created especially for them. They learn technically correct playing and musicianship while performing more demanding pieces, learn to play alone and in a chamber group, and have the opportunity to perform in public with the instrument. At the request of the individual, in addition to the extensive range of songs, we can also learn one of his choice. Students get to know the basics of music and learn to read musical notation and perform more difficult pieces independently, while we constantly encourage their creativity.
Learning music has a positive effect on both our brain abilities and mental health, which has been proven by various experts through studies. They even use music as therapy and it has been proven to have an effect on people. We are also aware of this in our school, which is why we are happy to pass on musical knowledge, because learning music in children (and adults!) stimulates creativity, at the same time it gives a feeling of satisfaction and joy, many people are soothed by music, it makes them more sensual and alert, self-confident and satisfied, their memory and ability to remember improves, it also has a good effect on concentration and the heart. The classical guitar as a delicate wooden instrument is certainly the right choice and an excellent starting point for later learning other strums.
