Music theory (7+)
Music education is a program that complements instrument lessons perfectly or as a continuation of one of the initial music theory programs. It is a program that encourages the development of musical abilities, musical hearing, skills and knowledge through more demanding musical activities. It introduces students to the understanding of musical notation, its accurate reading and notation, and the recognition of all elements.
Accurate musical listening is developed and deepened (with piano exercises and rhythmic-melodic exercises), in accordance with their knowledge, students create new musical content, learn about musical elements and their fundamental laws, develop sensitivity to the relationships between tones, listen to compositions more carefully and analytically, they develop aesthetic sensitivity, musical taste and the ability to evaluate, learn about different musical literature, the history of music, composers and important musical turning points in the past.
Students learn to pronounce and perform rhythmic-melodic content and write them by dictation, sing selected melodic exercises and develop musical memory. They perform and interpret examples from music literature, consolidate singing technique, create and use new knowledge in the creation of musical content, listen to a selection of musical works and, with analytical evaluation, acquire, understand and use music-theoretical and design knowledge.
Classes are held in groups, but in order to achieve better learning goals, we make sure that the groups are not too large. In principle, the music lessons program takes place once a week for 60 minutes and usually takes 6 years to reach a certain level of knowledge. In the case of a combination with an instrument lesson, the two programs complement each other very well, as the student learns to read music notation and other theoretical details during the music lesson, which makes the instrument lesson faster and easier.
