Music lessons (4-6 years)
Musical hours is the name of the program intended for the youngest musical up-and-comers. It is designed in a similar way to a music workshop – it allows children to learn about the broad concept of music and offers them learning through play, singing and dancing.
Children develop their musical ear and interest in music. They get to know the families of instruments and through presentations - performances - each musical instrument individually, live, listen to it, see it, try it out.
Through various activities, children develop their motor skills, their memory and a sense of cooperation in a group. They learn about Orff's instrumentation, perform songs on different instruments, sing and play in groups, listen to each other, complement and cooperate, and at the same time learn about the laws of individual musical instruments. With this, children develop their sense of music, the difference between loud and quiet, fast and slow, and learn to distinguish musical instruments from each other according to the way they are played.
Accompanied by the piano, they learn educational songs using the echo technique, to which they clap, play an instrument or perform other specific sounds or movements. Children also learn about music through dance, which strengthens the connection between their movement, speech and thought - we sing along to songs and play musical games. Children listen to and participate in musical fairy tales and perform various didactic games. They learn to listen carefully to different musical instruments and their sounds, and later together we create our own simple musical instruments to play.
This is how musical expression develops, children learn what they like and why. They learn to recognize musical instruments and voices from different music recordings, get to know folk and artificial music. Music lessons provide children with musical and broader aesthetic education.
Namely, music is increasingly recognized as a therapeutic tool, which is proven to relax and calm down, and at the same time, for those who engage in it, it strengthens self-confidence and self-confidence. In music lessons, children learn about many elements of music through play, singing and dancing, which they internalize and remember well, as they are presented in an interesting and fun way. Music classes therefore primarily offer children an abundance of diverse musical knowledge, which they acquire in a pleasant way, while at the same time enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, personal growth, comprehensive development, development of mental abilities and musical hearing, and, ultimately, relaxation, calmness and joy.
The program of music lessons helps children develop a positive attitude towards artistic expression, directs them to creative expression (singing and playing) and contributes to the development of elementary musical hearing (rhythmic and melodic). In addition, the aim of the music lessons is to develop the ability to experience and attentively listen to musical content, children's participation in forms of individual and group music-making, and the development of musical taste. During lessons, children learn about musical instruments, some vocal and instrumental compositions and basic musical concepts, create musical and other different content (artistic, verbal, movement-dance) and orientate themselves in artistic notations of musical content.
