Guitar lessons - Flamenco guitar
The flamenco guitar is similar to the classical guitar, but differs from it in a few details that significantly affect the sound. The surface of the guitar, or its resonance plate, is even thinner, and it has a little less support inside. It can be recognized by its distinct sound, which enables accurate and fast performances of flamenco patterns, which are characteristic of this musical genre.
There are many records of where flamenco originated, who brought it to Spain, known today as the home of flamenco, and when. In some texts, the Arabs are mentioned, who brought their special music with the lute to Spain, other stories say that flamenco songs are actually old religious texts, which the original inhabitants turned into songs when they were converted to Christianity, so that they would not would persecute. Anyway, flamenco is a popular and attractive musical genre attributed to Andalusia and the creators who come from there. It is perhaps best known as a beautiful dance, but it should be noted that in flamenco there was singing first, then an instrument and perhaps clapping, followed later by dancing. The saying goes: "The story is the song, the song is the guitar, the guitar is the dance, the dance is life."
The flamenco guitar program is more suitable for those with some prior knowledge of the guitar, but beginners can also enroll in it, they will just need a little more practice at first. First of all, we learn the correct posture of the body and the correct playing of the strings with the fingers, and at the same time we develop musical ear. Students learn to read musical notation - sheet music and at the same time learn music by ear. In the flamenco program, the emphasis is on technical exercises with flamenco music motifs. We repeat and practice flamenco techniques and approaches to playing the guitar, learn how flamenco musicians use the guitar and the main characteristics of this music. Let's familiarize ourselves with flamenco patterns and perform compositions with a flamenco touch. Students are encouraged to create their own original compositions and make music freely.
